JACKSON, Mich. - The Crossroads League have released the Academic All-Crossroads League recipients for fall sports. The seven Indiana Wesleyan fall sports that compete in the Crossroads League combined for 70 athletes to meet the qualifications. This was the highest total of any league school.
Women's cross country led the way for the Wildcats with 15 All-Academic athletics, while men's cross country and men's soccer each tallied 13. Volleyball finished with 11, followed by men's tennis with 5 and women's tennis with 3.
In order to be eligible for Academic All-Crossroads League recognition, a student-athlete must have reached junior status academically with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 at the completion of the semester in which they competed. Individuals must have also been on their team's roster for the entire season and must be nominated by their respective institution.
The academic All-CL awards for the sports of basketball, track and field, bowling, cheer, golf, baseball and softball will be announced in June, following the conclusion of the spring semester.
