MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan football safety
Deven Arevalo was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time he has claimed the honor this season, and the 16th MSFA weekly award for the Wildcats this year.
Arevalo recorded a clutch blocked punt that lead to a recovery for a touchdown right before halftime of Saturday's win over Lawrence Tech. He was also tied for a team-best 7 tackles defensively.
IWU closes out the regular season on the road at Siena Heights on November 15.
