FORT WAYNE, Ind. - No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan Women's Soccer dominated the University of Saint Francis with a decisive 6-0 victory on Saturday afternoon. The first half began with IWU setting the pace early. Anna Pettitt opened the scoring in the 11th minute, capitalizing on an assist from Madelynn Welker. Avery Williams extended the lead in the 20th minute with a goal assisted by Alyssa Hamann and Welker. The Wildcats continued to dominate possession, with Pettitt adding her second goal in the 34th minute, assisted by Hamann. The defense held strong, with goalkeeper Avery Sluss making key saves late in the half. IWU closed the half with a commanding 3-0 lead over USF. The second half commenced with the Wildcats maintaining their offensive momentum. Junior Aliyah Denton scored her second goal of the season in the 54th minute, assisted by Williams, extending their lead to 4-0. In the 63rd minute, Sydney Couch added another goal, pushing the advantage to 5-0. As the half progressed, IWU consistently applied pressure, generating several corner kicks and shots. Lauren Patzer capped off the scoring with a goal in the 88th minute, assisted by Carlie Grosser, for her first career goal as a Wildcat. The game concluded with Indiana Wesleyan securing a decisive 6-0 victory and remaining unbeaten in conference play. The Wildcats face No. 3 Marian next Saturday to decide the top team in the Crossroads before the final regular season game.
