MARION, Ind. — Indiana Wesleyan women's volleyball outlasted the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) in a five-set match in Luckey Arena, winning by scores of 27-29, 21-25, 25-13, 25-8, 15-9. The Wildcats' attack was led by a .462 hitting percentage in the fourth set, contributing to their impressive reverse sweep. Eva Joldersma led the Wildcats with a double double, recording 26 kills and 17 digs, and also recorded her 200th career block, helping IWU survive the absence of two time NAIA Setter of the Year Abbigail Porter.

SET ONE

• Indiana Wesleyan opened with a 3-0 lead, highlighted by a kill from Eva Joldersma and an ace by Dayessi Luis.  
• USF responded, tying the score at 14-14 after a service ace.
• Indiana Wesleyan regained momentum with a 4-0 run, including two kills from Marin Sanchez, to lead 19-17.
• In a tense final stretch, the Cougars clinched the set 29-27 with a service ace and kill.

 

SET TWO 

• USF capitalized on Indiana Wesleyan's early errors, taking a 5-2 lead after consecutive attack errors.
• A service ace extended the Cougars' advantage to 7-3.   
• Indiana Wesleyan reduced the deficit with a 4-0 run, including two kills by Joldersma, bringing the score to 12-10. 
• Despite a late push by Indiana Wesleyan, USF secured the set 25-21

 

SET THREE 

• Indiana Wesleyan took control with a 4-0 stretch, building a 6-2 advantage after a kill by Marissa Mullins.    
• A series of attack errors by USF allowed Indiana Wesleyan to extend the lead to 13-6. 
• Camaya Murry delivered key plays with a service ace and multiple kills, helping push Indiana Wesleyan's lead to 16-7.  
• Indiana Wesleyan maintained momentum to close out the set 25-13 on a Sanchez kill, marking the start of their reverse sweep.

 

SET FOUR 

• Indiana Wesleyan opened with a 7-0 run, highlighted by kills from Jessica Ickes and Joldersma, prompting an early timeout from USF.
• The home team extended their advantage to 15-2 with a series of errors from the Cougars and consistent setting from Murry.
• USF struggled to gain momentum, while Joldersma's attacks helped Indiana Wesleyan maintain control at 21-3.  The Cougar's first 3 points of the set all came via Wildcat service errors.
• Despite a late push from USF, Indiana Wesleyan sealed the set 25-8 with a service error from the Cougars

 

SET FIVE 

• Indiana Wesleyan built early momentum with a 5-2 lead, highlighted by a block from Jaycee Folkers and Mullins.  
• A decisive 8-0 run, featuring two kills from Sanchez and a service ace by Joldersma, extended their advantage to 12-3.  
• USF responded with a 5-1 stretch, including two kills, tightening the score to 13-8.  
• Indiana Wesleyan closed the set with a kill from Joldersma, securing a 15-9 victory and completing the reverse sweep.
