GREENTOWN, Ind - Indiana Wesleyan women's tennis had a late night, finishing at 9:30PM in an epic 4-3 thriller against No. 19-ranked Holy Cross. It came down to a third set tie-break win by
Maria Way at No. 5 singles. The Wildcats started out strong with a win at No. 1 doubles by Munoz/Antezana against Holy Cross's top-five ranked doubles team, 6-4. No. 3 doubles Parr/Snider helped clinch the doubles point with a 6-3 win.
In singles, Barger won easily at No. 4 singles to put the Wildcats up 2-0. Munoz won at No. 1 singles to put IWU up 3-0. That is when things started to tighten up. Holy Cross came storming back with wins at No. 2, 3, and 6 singles to tie the match at 3 all. Way won the first set 6-2 before losing the second set 6-0. She got down 4-1 in the third before starting her epic comeback. At 6-6 and all the teams standing on the next court, Maria played a stellar tiebreaker and clinched the match for the Wildcats 4-3.
