Another error put Zach Green on first base while Caleb Engelsman scored. Carson Gibson ripped a two-RBI single through the right side, driving in MJ Stavola and Mark Snowden. Darien Pugh's single plated Green for the seven-run margin.

  • ONU sliced the deficit to four with a four-run second, but IWU pushed across a run in the fourth off a wild pitch as Engelsman raced home.
  • The visitors added two runs in the sixth. Green scored on a fielder's choice before later scoring prior to a pick-off play. The home team scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth, tying the game at 11-11.
  • Green scored on an error in the eighth before Quinn Willard singled home Gibson and Pugh for a 14-11 edge. Roman's RBI single pushed the margin to 15-11.
