MISHAWAKA, IND. - No. 4 Women's Tennis fell to the undefeated No. 1 seed Bethel, 4-0, in the Semifinals of the Crossroads League Tournament. The Pilot's were able to get the momentum by winning the doubles point beating no. 2 and no. 3 doubles 6-1 and 6-2 respectively. In singles, IWU wasn't able to overcome an injury to no. 2 singles player France Antezana and were swept at 2, 4, and 5 singles. The Wildcats were ahead in three matches but Bethel was able to clinch the 4th point before those games could finish. This ends the fall season for IWU.

GLEGHORN PERSPECTIVE

 

• "France battled so well all week with a sprained ankle and I am so proud of her effort," said Coach Gleghorn. "Sofia, Meribel, and Lauren were going to win…we just couldn't find the fourth point today.  All credit to Bethel, they are a really good team and just better than us this season."
