MARION, IND. - No
. 4 Women's Tennis defeated Huntington University, 5-2, in the Quarterfinals of the Crossroads League Tournament. IWU came out quickly and won all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. As a singles began, the Wildcats were without their no. two player France Antenzana who had re-sprained her ankle. The Wildcats moved everybody up in the lineup and were able to rally to win four of the six singles matches. In singles,
Alli Schellenberg started the winning streak with a straight set victory and she was quickly followed by Maria Oliveria winning at 5 singles. The match was clinched when
Katie Parr back from 6-5 down in the second set to clinch the match with a tiebreaker victory. IWU will play on Thursday in the Crossroads League Semifinals at Bethel University.

- "The women played well today under really windy and tough conditions," said Coach James Gleghorn. "Really proud of the way that Maria and Alli played in singles. Lauren played incredible doubles today to lead three doubles to victory. Maribel played her very best tennis of the season today. We continue to get better every day and have a great opportunity to win on Thursday."
