GREENTOWN, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan men's tennis swept a tough Spring Arbor team after a 1.5 hour rain and lightning delay. The Wildcats swept the doubles and started the singles matches before having to drive to Greentown to finish the match with a 7-0 victory.
Trey Thixton, playing his first match of the season, won 6-1 in doubles with
Isaac Steiner, before a straight-set victory in singles 6-3, 6-3. Timo Fischer played his first college match and won his doubles with
Ethan Gray 6-3 and won a close match in singles 7-5, 7-5.
IWU have a crucial match on Thursday against Marian in Indianapolis.

- "Today's conditions were really tough," said James Gleghorn, Head Tennis Coach. "It was in the low 90's when we started the match, and everyone was struggling with the heat. Then we had a long rain delay and had to drive to play on indoor courts. Strange day, but the guys really persevered well!"
- The Wildcats will travel to Marion on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
