NO. 22 SOFTBALL COMPLETES SEASON SWEEP OF GRACE

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - No. 22 Indiana Wesleyan softball were back on the road on Thursday for their second doubleheader of the season against Grace. The Wildcats launched three home runs in Game 1 to win 10-3. IWU took advantage of 7 Grace errors in Game 2 to earn the victory 8-4.

  • Sadie Harding hit a two-run home run over the right field fence, her first of the season.
  • Elisa Koshy added another two-run home run in the 7th inning and leads the team with 4 this year.
  • Alyssa Wagner improved to 11-3 in the circle after throwing 7 strikouts in 6 innings of work.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS
 

 
  • An Ashton Whitman double and an Elisa Koshy triple in the 1st inning gave IWU their first two runs of the game.
  • Julianne Bell drove in her 1st of 3 RBI's in the 2nd inning to go up 3-2.
  • Bell registered her first home run of the season in the 4th inning to extend their lead to 6-3.
  • IWU scored two more runs off Grace errors to increase their run total to 8.
  • Zoe Fountain stole 3 stolen bases, her most in a game this season.
  • Alayna Thomas earned her 3rd win of the season only giving up one run in four innings.
