NO. 2 SOFTBALL REACHES 10 WINS DURING TUCSON INVITATIONAL GAMES

TUCSON, Ariz. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan softball played their fifth and sixth games of the week on Thursday in the Tucson Invitational Games. The Wildcats earned a walk-off win against Concordia, 5-4, followed by their 10th win of the season after their largest run total of the week against Olivet Nazarene, 10-4.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS
 

 
  • After 4 innings of play, IWU held a 3-1 lead of CU.
  • Five hits in the top of the 6th scored 3 runs for Concordia as they took a 4-3 lead.
  • An RBI single in the bottom half of the inning from Chloe Tragesser scored Julianne Bell to tie the game.
  • In the bottom of the 7th, Ashton Whiteman advanced to second off a fielding error by Concordia.
  • Kamryn Buck brought on the pinch-running Emma Wiberg with an RBI double to earn the walk-off win for the Wildcats.
  • Emma Etter-Cox pitched the complete game with 7 strikeouts to pick up the win.

  • The bats got hot as the Wildcats connected for 8 hits in the final 4 innings.
  • Kamyn Buck send her first home run of the season over the fence in the 5th.
  • Five Wildcats tallied 2 or more hits.
  • Ashton Whitman went 3-5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's.
  • Sadie Harding finished with 2 hits and 3 RBI's.
  • Alyssa Wagner sat down 4 batter while giving up just 1 earned run.
