JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball hauled in seven Crossroads League awards Wednesday. Head Coach
Ethan Whaley earns Crossroads League Coach of the Year honors for the first time at the helm of the Wildcats. Whaley has led the program to it's highest winning percentage in his six seasons as head coach and currently has the team on a twenty-game winning streak. Indiana Wesleyan has climbed up to No. 5 in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll.
Sophomore
Lilli Frasure earned Crossroads League First Team honors for the second season in a row. Frasure was third in the league with 16.2 points per game, while shooting 52% from the field and grabbing 5.7 rebounds per game.
Jade Nutley has had a breakout sophomore season, earning a spot on the Crossroads League First Team. Nutley has been an offensive force inside and out with her 13.7 points per game, shooting 51% from the field and 42% from deep. Her three-point percentage ranks her fourth in the league.
Jordan Reid was voted to the Crossroads League Second Team and the All-Defensive Team. Reid leads the league with 2.7 steals per game, while being 3rd on the team with 11.3 points per game.
Maddie Lawrence earned Crossroads League Honorable Mention status for the first time as a Wildcat. The junior averaged 7.8 points per game while shooting 42% from the field and 33% from three-point range.
Rounding out the awards was
Klair Merrell, earning a spot on the Crossroads League All-Defensive Team. Merrell locked down opposing offenses all season by swiping 1.9 steals per game, tied for second in the league with teammate Frasure.
The Wildcats turn their attention to NAIA First & Second Round play, finding out who they will host in Marion on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m.Â
