NO. 7 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TALLIES THIRD 25-WIN SEASON IN A ROW

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball closed out the regular season on the road on Wednesday night at Mount Vernon Nazarene. The Wildcats took down the Cougars, 75-65, and recorded their 3rd consecutive season with 25 wins.

WHAT HAPPENED


 

  • Madelyn Lawson shot 3-3 from the three-point line in the 1st quarter to lead MVNU to an early 24-20 lead.
  • IWU shot 48% from the field and 9-10 from the free throw line in the first half for a 38-34 lead at halftime.
  • The Wildcats went on a 10-0 run to begin the 3rd quarter, increasing their lead to 57-44 heading into the final 10 minutes.
  • Jade Nutley scored 8 points in the 4th quarter as Indiana Wesleyan closed out the 75-65 win.

  • "I was proud of our team tonight," said Ethan Whaley, Head Women's Basketball Coach. "MVNU at home is such a dangerous team. I thought we showed a lot of resolve and connection in the middle quarters tonight and that carried us through. This was a great win to closeout the regular season."
