NO. 7 WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS GRACE, 3-1, IN CROSSROADS LEAGUE QUARTERFINALS

MARION, Ind. - It was great start to the Crossroads League Tournament for No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer after defeating Grace College, 3-1. After a couple of close shots from both sides to start the match, IWU capitalized first with a cross from Morgan Busick to find Jackie Norris with a heading finish in the 41st minute. After a Grace College goal to tie the game 1-1 in the 50th minute, Jackie Norris found her second goal on the day in the 78th minute. Late in the game, Mallory Krueger was set up for an indirect free kick goal in the 89th minute to secure the Wildcat victory.

  • A great cross from Morgan Busick found Jackie Norris for the header goal in the 41st minute for the first goal of the game.
  • Grace College tied the game in the 50th minute.
  • Jackie Norris scored her second goal of the day after controlling the ball well in the midfield to score a low shot from outside the box, giving IWU the lead.
  • Mallory Krueger found the back of the net to gain an insurance goal after an indirect free kick in the box in the 89th minute.
