UPLAND, IND. - No. 2 Indiana Wesleyan volleyball made the quick trip across Grant County to Upland on Saturday and came away with a dominating 3-0 sweep of Taylor. After a 25-16 win in the first set the Wildcats held the Trojans to just 11 and 12 points in the second and third sets. With Bethel's win over MVNU on Saturday, Indiana Wesleyan claims the 2023 Crossroads League regular season championship.

MATCH VITALS

•  With set one tied a 6, IWU used runs of 4-0 and 7-1 to take a commanding 16-10 lead. The Trojans were unable to mount a comeback and Indiana Wesleyan took the set.
• The Wildcats carried the momentum into set two, taking a 12-6 lead. They continued to dominate the set, earning a convincing  25-11 win.
• It was all IWU in the third set, this time jumping out to a 19-6 lead and holding onn for a 25-12 victory.
• Cassie Gregory led the offense with 11 kills. Eva Joldersma added 10.
• Rebekah Sergent and Martina Demarchi each had 2 aces.
• Julia Price led the team with 5 blocks while Cassie Gregory and Marissa Mullins had 4 each.
• Abbigail Porter led the way with 37 assists.
• Demarchi had a team high 10 digs. Joldersma and Cadee Notter both tallied 10.

LOOKING FORWARD

• The Wildcats travel to Winona Lake to face Grace on October 25th at 7pm.
