NO. 9 WOMEN’S SOCCER REMAINS UNBEATEN WITH SIXTH CONFERENCE WIN

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. - After a close match away from home, No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer got the job done with a 2-1 scoreline against Mount Vernon Nazarene. A free kick before the end of the first half found its way to Jackie Norris for her third goal of the season. A great run from Abbey Drahnak in the 69th minute gave way to assist junior Taylor Archbold to double the lead and eventually secure the victory. IWU is tied for first in the Crossroads League standings with two games left in the regular season.

  • Jackie Norris found the bottom-left corner after a great find from Jada Swanson in the 44th minute, passing between Mount Vernon defenders.
  • IWU found their second goal in the 69th minute after Abbey Drahnak found Taylor Archbold in the middle of the box to double their lead. 
  • Mount Vernon's Alexis Hoffman scored in the 71st minute to finish the game at 2-1.

  • 4: Freshman goalkeeper Avery Sluss attributed four saves on the day in the second half, keeping the Cougars to only one goal.
