JACKSON, Mich. - For the second week in a row, the No 5 ranked Indiana Wesleyan women's tennis earned Crossroads League Player of the Week honors. Freshman
Sofia Loren Munoz received the accolade this week after helping the Wildcats remain undefeated at 7-0.
"Sophia has played amazing tennis all season," said
James Gleghorn, Head Tennis Coach. "I'm so proud of her and the work that she does each and every day to make herself better. She had a phenomenal week last week dominating all of her singles and doubles matches. The only thing better than her tennis game as what a great person she is."
Munoz won each of her four singles matches in straight-sets, while playing at the No. 2 position for Indiana Wesleyan and also went 4-0 at No. 1 doubles for the Wildcats. The 8-0 week from Munoz highlighted a 4-0 week for IWU.
The Wildcats will be back in action tomorrow at Sutter Tennis Center as they host Huntington University and University of Saint Francis (Ind.) for the final doubleheader of the Crossroads League Regular Season and a chance at the regular season championship!
