WESTFIELD, Ind. - Crossroads League tournament action began in Westfield, Indiana at Grand Park with the Wildcats advancing in the winners bracket defeating Spring Arbor Cougars 6-2. Wildcats went 3-1 against the Cougars during the regular season. During the fourth matchup during the season, Wildcats had a halted game in the top of the 11th inning which was played out four days later.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

• Cougars got on the board first before Wildcats responded with five unanswered runs. Both teams scored another run in the sixth inning to finish with a 6-2 Wildcat victory.
• Wildcats connected on 11 hits featured by Chloe Tragesser connecting on three hits two of which were doubles. Becca Wyatt and Kamryn Buck each posted a double as well.
• Jenna Yost broke the school record for stolen bases in a season currently sitting at 54. 
• Emma Etter-Cox struck out seven in six inning as Danielle Munn came in and struck out two.

 

TOURNAMENT CONTINUES

 

• Wildcats will play the winner of Taylor and University of Saint Francis at 3pm at Grand Park.
