MARION, Ind. - IWU baseball dropped both games in a double header versus Huntington on Saturday. Huntington's offense overpowered the Wildcats in game one ending with the final score of 17-7. Both pitchers went the distance in game two, but it was Huntington taking the win 2-1. Both games were played at Wildcat Field due to rainy conditions, Huntington was the home team for both games.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

 

• The Wildcats scored first, on an RBI by Colby Jenkins. But the Foresters struck back scoring the next 10 runs.
• Denver Blinn and Lucas Goodin combined for half of the IWU hits in the game. Blinn had three hits and three RBIs, Goodin had two hits and two RBIs.
• Jeff Morton collected a hit, he has a hit in each of the last seven games and in 10 of the last 11.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

 

• IWU struck first again in game two with an RBI double from Jeff Morton in the first, the Wildcats didn't score for the rest of the game. 
• Denver Blinn added two more hits, he leads the team with 55 hits on the season. 
• MJ Stavola had two hits and a stolen base, he has 13 stolen bases on the year which is best on the team. 
• Caleb Olson went the distance on the mound, giving up just two runs and striking out four.

  

CONTINUING THE SERIES

 

• The Wildcats will head to Cleary University on Tuesday. IWU split a doubleheader with Cleary earlier this season. Game one will start at 1 p.m.
