WILDCATS VICTORIOUS IN UPLAND

UPLAND, Ind. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan softball defeated Taylor University in a double header sweep on the road this evening. Both in close matchups, Wildcats ended both contests with Alyssa Wagner strike outs. Wildcats hold a 39-23 record over the Trojans.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS


 
  • Miranda Wehrle singled to right center in the first sending home the Wildcat's first run on the board.
  • Wildcats struck again in the third off a Kamryn Buck single running in two more runs as Wildcats went up 3-0.
  • Trojans made things interesting when a homer sent in two RBIs in the top of the sixth inning.
  • Alyssa Wagner pitched a complete game while striking out seven.
  • Both team had six hits as Abby Harvey and Buck each added two.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS


 

  • Both teams got on the board in the third inning before Wildcats took the win in the eighth after scoring two runs.
  • A Wehrle homer and a Buck double brought in the three runs in the third inning.
  • A pair of Alyssa Langston and Chloe Tragesser singles sent in both runs in the eighth.
  • Wildcats were hot at the bats collecting 12 hits to Trojans three.
  • Reagan Radke, Danielle Munn, and Alyssa Wagner all took turns on the mound striking out six combined. Munn was credited with the win and Wagner with the save.

  • Wildcats will return to Spring Arbor University tomorrow afternoon to finish the halted game against the Cougars. The game was tied 5-5 in the top of the eleventh.
