SOFTBALL SETS SCHOOL RECORD IN STOLEN BASES, SPLITS WITH COUGARS

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan softball split with RV Mount Vernon Nazarene University on the road. After dropping game one 2-3, Wildcats responded shutting out Cougars 6-0 in game two. Wildcats set a new program record in stolen bases in a season with 154 currently. MVNU is currently in third in conference posting a 19-9 Crossroads League record.

  • Wildcats bounced back scoring two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth, and three in the seventh to take game two 6-0.
  • Hot at bats, Wildcats posted 10 hits led by Chloe Tragesser, Yost, and Pace each posting two.
  • Five different Wildcats scored while Kamryn Buck ran in for two runs.
  • Julianne Bell's stolen base in the top of the seventh inning pushed the Wildcats to a new school record with 154 stolen bases currently on the season.
  • Alayna Thomas pitched a complete game for the Wildcats.

  • Wildcats host Huntington University on Senior Day tomorrow, April 23 at 1pm. Seniors will be honored following the conclusion of the double header.
