GOSHEN, Ind. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan softball dropped game one against Goshen College with a 9-6 decision before a dominating 20-3 decision in game two. Wildcats reached a new season high batting in 20 runs for the first time since March 20, 2021 in a matchup with Bethel University.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Sadie Harding scored on a dry fly before a Miranda Wehrle single scored Chloe Tragesser and Jennah Yost getting the Wildcats on the board trailing 5-3 in the 5th inning.
• Hannah Miller hit a homer in the sixth inning with two runners on base to reach within one run of the Maple Leafs.
• Maple Leafs outhit the Wildcats 9-7.

  

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Game two had a different script for the Wildcats starting with Miranda Wehrle getting the Wildcats on the board in the first inning scoring on a wild pitch.
• In the second inning a Wehrle grand slam put the Wildcats up five.
• Wildcats poured in nine runs in the third inning alone highlighted by a Kamryn Buck homer to left center sending in three runs.
• Hot at the plate, IWU connected on 17 hits to Goshen's five.
• Wildcats posted a season best 19 RBIs.
• Alyssa Wagner and Alayna Thomas split time on the mound striking out eight.

• Wildcats return to play at Bethel University on Friday, April 15. Double header is scheduled to start at 3pm.
