MARION, Ind. - IWU baseball defeated the Saints of Thomas More University on Wednesday. The Wildcats combined to hit six home runs in route to an 18-4 victory. IWU improves to 13-14 on the season and will look to keep things rolling this weekend as they take on Saint Francis in a four game series.

HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Evan Salmon came up big for the Wildcats. He collected three home runs, two of which came in the same inning, four runs scored, and seven RBIs. 
• Denver Blinn, Lucas Goodin, and Jeff Morton all added home runs, this was Morton's first home run of the season and just his second career home run. 
• Zach Rabe had three hits, including two doubles. Rabe had doubled his hit total from a season ago with 32 already this season. 
• Bryce Ginder added two hits, the junior catcher has eight multi-hit games this season and has had two or more hits in six of his last eight games.
• Nick Evans earned the win, he threw five innings and held the saints to three runs.

• The Wildcats continue conference play this weekend as they are set to take on Saint Francis in a four-game series. Game one starts Friday at 3 p.m.
