COLUMBUS, GA. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan softball dropped game one this afternoon with a 3-8 loss to RV Truett McConnell but bounced back with a 7-5 win over Evangel University. Wildcats sit at 4-2 on the young season.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Miranda Wehrle connected on a homerun in the first inning to get the Wildcats on the board while bringing both Jennah Yost and herself to homeplate. 
• Wehrle recorded two RBIs, while Makenna Waddell posted one throughout the game.
• Alyssa Wagner struck out seven while Alayna Thomas followed with four strikeouts.
   

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Waddell homered to center field in the first inning with two runners on base.
• Kamryn Buck followed with a homer of her own to center field.
• Chloe Tragesser sacrificed herself twice with a ground out to score both Julianne Bell and Zoe Fountain.
• Yost and Elisa Koshy each recorded three hits.

• "Today was a blast playing in ideal weather against some of the top teams int he country at such an amazing venue. We brought the growth mindset and fun of our practices into the second game and wow; I believe we have figured out how to praise God through softball even better."

• Wildcats head to Oakland City University on Monday on their trip back to Marion, Indiana. Doubleheader starts at 1pm.
