UPLAND, Ind. - No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan defeated Grant county foe Taylor University this evening 85-54. Wildcats lead the series 60-38.  This is the largest victory over the Trojans since 103-69 win December 2, 1992.

WHAT HAPPENED

 

• Three-threes on consecutive possessions started the ballgame as Madison Davis and Maddie Lawrence each connected on their first one of the night. First quarter saw five threes between both squads as the Trojans led after the first quarter 18-15.
• Wildcats connected at 58.3% from the floor and gained the lead going into the locker room up 35-33.
• Hot start in the third quarter saw Wildcats on a 7-0 run forcing a Taylor timeout three minutes in. Wildcats continued to run, outscoring the Trojans 23-8. IWU led 58-41 into the last stanza.
• IWU added in another six threes in the fourth quarter to put the Trojans away for good. Wildcats won 85-54.
