MARION, Ind. – No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan pushed past Bethel University Pilots this afternoon 90-71.  Maddie Lawrence led the Wildcats with a career high 25 points while connecting 11-12 from the charity stripe.

WHAT HAPPENED

 

• Catching up to the speed of the Pilots, Wildcats posted seven first quarter turnovers. Maddie Lawrence started her career-high night off strong recording nine points in the first ten minutes of play. 
• Jordan Reid's spark off the bench led the Wildcats with seven points and three assists in the second quarter as the Wildcats found themselves up 49-32 at the break.
• Pilots aggressive defense and speed turned the Wildcats over 11 times in the third quarter. Pilots held an advantage on the boards throughout the quarter. 
• Heading into the fourth quarter with a 65-53 lead Lawrence poured in another eight points including 4-4 from the free throw line. Wildcats finished with a 90-71 win over the Pilots.
