INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball traveled to Indianapolis on Saturday for a Top-10 showdown against No. 8 Marian University. The game needed overtime to decide the outcome with the lead changing 7 times in the five extra minutes of play. A three-point bucket by Marian with 20 seconds left, along clutch free throws, were enough to hand IWU their 3rd loss of the season, 68-64.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Izzy Reed scored 8 points in the 1st quarter, but Marian held a 15-13 lead after the first 10 minutes.
• IWU took a 28-25 lead going into the locker room after holding MU to 4-13 from the field in the 2nd quarter.
• The Wildcats built their lead to 10 midway through the 3rd, but the Knights used an 8-2 run to close out the quarter to cut the IWU lead to 44-40.
• Indiana Wesleyan led by 7 with two minutes remaining in regulation. However, even-straight points by Marian forced overtime, highlighted by a bucket with 11 seconds left to tie it at 55-55.
• Heartbreak met the Wildcats once again in extra time after IWU held a 64-63 lead late. A three-point shot by MU gave them enough of a lead to secure a 68-64 victory.
