MARION, Ind. - No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball took the court in Luckey Arena against in-state foe Indiana Tech on Tuesday night. Both teams traded blows and no one saw a double-digit lead all game. However, Indiana Tech was able to land the knockout punch as IWU suffered the narrow defeat, 74-71.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Early turnovers for both teams resulted in a slow start, but the Wildcats ended the 1st quarter on a 7-4 run to take a 17-13 lead.
• An evenly matched 2nd quarter saw both teams shoot 5-11 from the field, and IWU took a 32-29 lead into the halftime locker room.
• Indiana Tech shot 58% from the field in the 3rd and cut the Wildcat lead to one point heading into the final frame.
• 12 points from Kyra Whitaker in the 4th quarter gave Indian Tech the late push they needed to steal the win, 74-71.
