WHAT HAPPENED

  • Slow start saw the Wildcats never gaining a lead in the first half of play. Wildcats got on the board after four minutes by a three by Kelli Damman.
  • The story of poor shooting continued for the Wildcats going ice cold from the arc and finishing the half shooting 30.8% from the floor and 10% from the arc.
  • The script started to change as Wildcats scored more in 10 minutes of play than the first 20 minutes recording 25 points. With 5:02 remaining in the quarter, Baylie Van Dyke hit a free throw to take the lead 36-35. Lancers went down and converted on 1 of 2 from the line before a huge and-one play by Jordan Reid put the Wildcats back in the lead for the rest of the game.
  • Fourth quarter saw many runs from the Lancers as the Wildcats fought their way to a 65-59 victory.
