MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball won another tight one on the road Saturday, fighting off the Cougars of Mount Vernon Nazarene, 88-85. Spencer Piercefield fired off a season-high 29 points in the contest, shooting 10-of-14 from the field. It's his fifth 20 or more game of the season. Prior to 2021-22, he had one game with 20 or more points, which was his career high 31 on the road at Benedictine - Mesa (Ariz.) last season.
In addition, the Wildcats moved to 8-0 in League play, the best start in program history.
