Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

NO. 10 WOMEN'S SOCCER OPENS LEAGUE PLAY WITH A SHUTOUT VICTORY

MARION, Ind. - No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer collected their fifth match of the season with at least three goals, downing Goshen College 6-0 to open Crossroads League play. It's the Wildcat's largest League win since 2016, when they sunk the Pilots 11-0 and their 16th straight win over the Maple Leafs. 









INSIDE THE BOX
  • IWU collected their fifth shutout of the season, tying their mark from a season ago. 
  • Five different Wildcats netted a goal while Mallory Krueger collected her first multi-goal game. It was also her first career game-winning goal.
  • Karly King followed collecting her first career assist during the last match, but would one-up it tonight netting her first career goal. 
  • Hope Stacker collected her 12th career shutout tonight and 16th career win. 
  • Sydney Brown collected her ninth assist of the season. The junior has assisted on a goal in all but one match this season. She has just 16 total in her career coming into this season.
  • Kristy Bowden found the back of the net for the third time this season, matching her career total in her first two seasons.

  • "It was good to get our first league game under our belt tonight. We had great fans again and atmosphere, and we are thankful for the constant support from our family, friends, and community. We look forward to getting back to training on Monday."




NEXT TIME OUT
  • IWU hosts Bethel University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. 
  • The Wildcats have won 13 of the last 15 meetings, with both losses coming at home.
