Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

NO. 10 WOMEN'S SOCCER SNEAKS PAST LAWRENCE TECH IN FINAL NON-CONFERENCE MATCH

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer snuck one out Wednesday in their final non-conference match of the season topping Lawrence Tech, 2-1. The Blue Devils lead for the first 84-minutes before Sarah Foulk squared things up 1-1. Lauren Turner would push the Wildcats over the top two minutes later, collecting her first game-winner of the season. 


INSIDE THE BOX
  • Laura Silverman of Lawrence Tech struck first in the match with just eight seconds left in the first half. It was Silverman's first goal of the season. 
  • Freshman Foulk pushed her season goal total to six, one behind Freshman Jackie Norris for most on the squad. 
  • Sydney Brown collected her seventh assist of the season on the Turner goal. 




SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE
  • Today was not our best performance but we definitely learned a lot as a team. We let some of the elements and situation get the best of us but I'm proud of the girls for not giving up and playing until the very end. We will get back tonight, rest up, and get ready for league play which opens up this weekend.




NEXT TIME OUT
  • IWU opens up Crossroads League play Saturday against Goshen College at 7 p.m.
