MARION, Ind. – The No. 12 Indiana Wesleyan softball team knocked off Ohio Christian Monday, pushing their win streak to 13 in a row. The Wildcats won the opener 4-2 before ending game two with a 9-0 five-inning affair.

INSIDE THE BOX – Game 1

• Trailing 2-0 after two frames, IWU registered a two-run inning of its own in the third and fourth stanzas for a 4-2 advantage.
• Julianne Bell led off the third with a single and swiped a base. Jennah Yost's infield base hit pushed Bell to third. A double by Chloe Tragresser evened the score at 2-2.
• Kamryn Buck singled to lead off the fourth and moved to second. Becca Wyatt's deep double to left field scored Buck. A bobble on a bunt by Yost allowed Wyatt to cross home for a 4-2 edge.
• The Wildcats were limited to just five hits in the game – and all five came from different student-athletes. Tragresser drove in a game-high two runs. She also accounted for one of the two extra-base hits (Wyatt also had a double).
• In the circle, Mckenzey Ridge threw the first six innings to pick up the win. She struck out two and gave up two earned runs on five hits while throwing just 74 pitches. Alyssa Wagner came in for the final inning, striking out two en route to earning the save.

PAINTING THE CORNER

• Alyssa Wagner painted the inside corner for the final out. It marked her second strikeout of the four batters she faced (allowing one walk). In all, Wagner threw 20 pitches.

INSIDE THE BOX – Game 2

• Bell singled in the third and swiped second base. Yost reached on a base hit, driving in Bell. Tragresser singled Yost to third before she swiped home plate for a 2-0 advantage.
• A nine-run fourth-inning helped the Wildcats end the contest in the fifth inning.
• Rebecca Schrad led off the inning with a double. She swiped third and scored on an error. Bell smashed a two-run homer, plating Danielle Munn, who came in as a pinch runner. Tragresser singled and Wyatt came in as a pinch runner. She was able to walk home when Wehrle sent a high homer over the right field fence.
• Hannah Miller singled and Zoe Fountain came in to run. She swiped a bag and scored on Kaycee Wisley's single. Kendal Rooze doubled her and Schrad home. Aubrie Eckert's single plated Rooze for the final tally.
• Alayna Thomas threw four innings, giving up just one hit. She struck out a pair of batters. Addie Benham tossed an inning of no-hit ball.
• Tragresser, Wehrle, Schrad and Bell notched two hits apiece. Rooze, Bell and Wehrle each drove in two runs.

SPREADING AROUND THE EXTRA BASE HITS

• Indiana Wesleyan had five extra-base hits in the nightcap. The squad produced two doubles, one triple and two homers. In all, four players recorded an extra-base hit. Rebecca Schrad accounted for two of the extra-base hits, going for a double and triple.

HITTING HOMERS

• Miranda Wehrle continues to hit round-trippers. In game two, she smashed a two-run round-tripper. Additionally, Julianne Bell had a homer in the nightcap.

NEXT TIME OUT

• The Wildcats take the field again tomorrow for a doubleheader at Marion in Indianapolis starting at 3 p.m.
