WILDCATS PULL AHEAD IN FOURTH QUARTER

GEORGETOWN, Ky. - No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball traveled to RV Georgetown College for a non-conference matchup this evening. Wildcats pulled away in the fourth quarter coasting to their tenth win of the season.

WHAT HAPPENED



 

  • The first quarter saw three lead changes to which both teams got up by five points during the stretch.
  • Trailing starting the second quarter, Wildcats took the lead on an and-one play by Kelli Damman followed by a jumper from Baylie VanDyke. IWU led 35-34 at the break.
  • Wildcats maintained a small lead through the third quarter before a Georgetown three-pointer with a minute to go switched the momentum and lead to the Tigers.
  • Back-to-back three-pointers by Damman and Maddie Lawrence gave the Wildcats a six-point lead with eight minutes remaining. Four minutes later Georgetown brought it within three. Wildcats knocked down free throws in the final stretch only hitting one field goal in the final four minutes of the game.
