MARION, Ind. - No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball defeated IU-East 88-67 this evening. The Red Wolves were persistent and never led Wildcats blow open a lead. Wildcats hold an all-time record 21-3 over the Red Wolves.
 
WHAT HAPPENED

• Midway through the first half, Wildcats went on an 11-0 run which was initiated by Dan Largey's and-one layup followed by a jumper in the next Wildcat possession.
• With three minutes remaining in the first half, Wildcats stretched the lead to 18 points on a layup by Luke Stevens. IWU led at the break 44-28.
• Both teams opened the second half exchanging basket for basket. On two different occasions, IU-East got within ten points.
• With six minutes remaining in the game, Wildcats lead grew to 20 points and coasted to the end of the game finishing 88-67.

 
INSIDE THE BOX

• For the third time this season, Dan Largey led the Wildcats in scoring with 23 points.
• Two Wildcats were just shy of double-doubles tonight with Seth Maxwell adding in 17 points and nine rebounds and Tim Adetukasi contributing 15 points and nine rebounds.
• IWU turned the ball over 19 times to IU-East's nine.
• Wildcats dominated down low recording 42 points in the paint to Red Wolves' 26.

• Wildcats head to No. 14 Marian University on Friday night for a 7pm tip to start Crossroads League play.
