DEFENSE SMOTHERS NO. 11 KNIGHTS IN 19-POINT MEN'S BASKETBALL WIN

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball collected a Top-15 NAIA win Friday, dethroning the No. 11 Knights 66-50. The Wildcats held the Knights to just 55 points, their fewest in a game since March 11, 2019, when Spring Arbor held the Knights to 50-points in the 2019 NAIA Men's Basketball DII National Championship Tournament.




INSIDE THE GAME
  • Dan Largey led all scorers with 16 points at the half on 6-of-8 shooting. He finished 18 points, five assists, and four rebounds. 
  • The Knights had just two players in double figures while IWU had four. 
  • Indiana Wesleyan owned the paint, scoring a whopping 42 points compared to Marian University's 22. IWU protected the paint well also, swatting 11 MU shots for the most in a game this season. 
  • The red and gray used a 14-5 run to start the second half to build an 18-point lead. IWU trailed just once in the contest.

  • IWU returns home to host Spring Arbor on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
