Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

KRUEGER SHINES AS NO. 7 WOMEN'S SOCCER CROWNED TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. - For the first time since 2009, No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer is your Crossroads League Tournament Champions.

The Wildcats grabbed the 2-1 victory at No. 3 Spring Arbor on a come-from-behind effort fueled by two Mallory Krueger goals. Krueger's first goal came in the 87th minute off an upper-90 free-kick. The sophomore from Overland Park, Kansas would stay hot entering overtime, netting the game-winning goal just 1:38 into the first overtime.

The loss ends Spring Arbor's 16-match win streak. It's also their first surrendered goal in a match since August 16, 2021.

SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE
  • I'm really proud of our team's overall performance today. Spring Arbor is a very well-coached and quality team and this game was competitive all the way till the end. Ultimately, I'm really proud of our entire team's fight today and relentless mentality. We will rest up this weekend and look forward to getting back to training on Monday as we prepare for the national tournament.
