Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WOMEN'S SOCCER CHOPS DOWN FORESTERS

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer picked up their eighth shutout of the season Wednesday, pushing past Huntington University, 4-0. All four goals came in the second half, with Jackie Norris punching the first two into the net.

INSIDE THE BOX
  • Norris has netted a goal in 10 of the Wildcats 12 matches this season, totaling 13 so far. It's the most goals scored by a freshman since Katie Pannabecker, who netted 13 during the 2012 season.
  • Sydney Brown assisted on three of the four goals, bringing her season total to 12 assists. It ties her career-high for assists in a season, a mark she set during her freshman campaign.
  • IWU landed a season-high 17 shots on goal while Huntington was allowed just one total shot in the contest. IWU has allowed an opponent two or fewer shots on four occasions this year.

SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE
  • Today was a match that took us a little while longer to really switch on in the way that we needed to. Some of the soccer decisions that we were making early on weren't quite where they needed to be. But we talked through some things at halftime and came out with a much better mentality second half. We'll get back to work tomorrow in prepping for another quality opponent from this league.

NEXT TIME OUT
  • After three straight matches on the road, IWU hosts No. 4 Spring Arbor at 7 p.m.
  • Fans are encouraged to wear red!
