MARION, Ind. - No. 4 Spring Arbor University spoiled the Wildcats homecoming Saturday, topping No. 10 Indiana Wesleyan women's soccer 1-0. SAU's goal came in the 70th minute off a corner kick.
INSIDE THE BOX
- IWU attempted four more corners than SAU.
- The Cougars collected 17 fouls, most against the Wildcats in a match this season.
- Sarah Foluk put two shots on frame leading all Wildcats, while Jackie Norris fired off four shots, good for most by a Wildcat.
SEIFFERT PERSPECTIVE
- I'm really proud of the way that our team came out and competed today." SAU is a very strong and well-coached team and it was a battle through and through. I thought we played well enough to win but the ball did not bounce our way this evening. We have another full week to train and get better so we are excited to utilize it as we prepare to honor our seniors next weekend!
- We would also like to thank all of the alumni and fans who came out and supported today. It was so great connecting and seeing everybody!
