No. 1 @IWUHOOPS SNAPS 50 YEAR OLD RECORD

MARION, Ind. - No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball broke a 50-year-old record Saturday, netting their 11th, 100th point game of the season. During the 1970-71 season, the Marion Titans put up ten, 100 point games, a record that stood until today's 11th 100 point game in a 100-83 win over the University of Saint Francis. 


The Wildcats haven't loss to the University of Saint Francis at home since February 20, 2016, while winning 9 of the last 10 matchups.

WHAT WENT DOWN

  • Indiana Wesleyan started the contest on a 10-0 run that featured a Maxwell block and an Alderson steal. 
  • At the half, the Wildcats knocked down 50% of the shots they took while the Cougars shot 33% with 12 turnovers. Both teams were perfect from the charity line, with IWU netting seven and USF two. 
  • IWU led 48-26 at the half. 
  • IWU made 28-of-30 free throws with Mangas shooting 12-of-13. 41 total free throws were shot in the second half between clubs.
