No. 23 @IWU_WBB EIGHT GAME WIN STREAK SNAPPED AT NO. 6 MARIAN

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No. 23 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball fell for the first time in eight games Saturday, 74-63 to No. 6 Marian University.


Jordan Reid led the Wildcats with 14 points and 11 rebounds, her second double-double of her career.

WHAT WENT DOWN
  • IWU struggled from deep, knocking down just seven of the 25 attempts, their lowest shooting percentage from deep in five games. MU struggled as well, making 5-of-15 from long range.
  • Marian attempted 26 free throws in the contest while, IWU mustered eight. 21 of Marian's 74 points came from the line.
  • The Knights coughed it up just 12 times while the Wildcats turned it over 20 times, the fourth time this season they have finished a game with 20 or more turnovers. 


WHALEY PERSPECTIVE
  • Tonight was a physical, intense game and I felt like we battled the entire 40 minutes. I'm proud of our effort and toughness against an elite team. I am excited to see how we respond and grow from today.

  • The Wildcats head to the University of Saint Francis on Saturday, January 30th at 1 p.m.
