@IWU_WBB COLLECTS COMEBACK WIN AT USF

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - No. 23 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball survived on the road Saturday, 66-58 at the University of Saint Francis. IWU trailed nearly the entire game until a 7-0 run in the fourth quarter gave them a 51-45 lead, with 6:40 left in the contest. IWU has now won eight straight over the Cougars. 


IWU would finish the game on an 11-5 run, pushing IWU to 15-4 on the season and 8-2 in League play.

WHAT WENT DOWN
  • Indiana Wesleyan was outscored in the first and second quarter, trailing 27-25 at the half. Both squads would score 16 in the third, but a 25 point fourth quarter by the Wildcats would prove to be too much in the final minutes. 
  • IWU attempted just 46 total shots, their lowest of the season. Their 22 made shots tied a season-low. 
  • The Wildcats were out-rebounded by the Cougars 28-24, just the fourth time this season they have been out-rebounded.
