SUAREZ SHINES AS NO. 23 @IWU_WBB WINS EIGHTH STRAIGHT

MARION, Ind. - No. 23 Indiana Wesleyan women's basketball won their eighth straight contest Wednesday 83-52 over Concordia University Ann Arbor. It is IWU's fifth win this season by 25 or more points and their third by 30 or more.


The Wildcats were led by Gabby Suarez, who finished with 21 points and 8 assists, both good for a new career-high.

  • Despite allowing seven offensive rebounds, IWU grabbed one more than CU in the first half collecting 19. 
  • Both teams shot four free throws in the first half, with IWU making one of their four attempts. IWU finished the game 9-of-13 from the line.
  • The Wildcats stood tall in the contest, collecting a season-high six blocks, their most since January 4, 2020, when they swatted Bethel University ten times. 
  • IWU scored 50 of their points in the paint.
