MANGAS NETS 43, No. 1 @IWUHOOPS CHOP DOWN FORESTERS

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Recognized as the No. 1 team in the country for the second straight NAIA Coaches' poll, Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball moved to 19-1 on the season, chopping the Foresters of Huntington University, 97-87


Kyle Mangas erupted for 43 points Wednesday, dropping 22 in the first half. It's the senior's fourth 40-points or better performance of his career.

WHAT WENT DOWN
  • Huntington jumped out to a 13-6 run to start the game, but a 9-2 IWU run would give the Wildcats a 17-15 lead at the first media timeout. The Foresters would make their first five shots of the contest during their run. 
  • Kyle Mangas finished the first half 8-of-12 from the floor for 22 points, six points better than the next closest player. He was perfect from the free-throw line shooting 4-of-4.
  • Noah Smith tied his career-high for assists, dishing out ten in the contest, one shy of tying the League record this season. 
  • The red & gray dished out 24 assists, their most in ten games.
