COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…
On Match #1 vs. St. Francis
- “It’s early in the season, but we saw a lot of good things today against St. Francis. The girls only lost thirteen games in nine matches. It also gave us an opportunity to play eight girls in the lineup.”
On Match #2 vs. Northwestern Ohio
- “We knew this was going to be our first test of the season and the girls came out in doubles really focused with incredible energy. We lost a total of two games in the three doubles matches. UNOH played much better in singles, but we were too good today. Maddie and Lena were extremely sharp at #2 and #3 respectively. Lizzie played one of the best players in the region, it was good to see her get the win and play an almost flawless third-set tiebreaker. I feel much better about our girl's team after today’s matches!”
