COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…
“The girls played phenomenal tennis today. In fact, we played great tennis all weekend. It was very fitting for our two seniors, Alex Mella and Marissa Klein, to clinch today at their last home match. They both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. I can’t say enough about Alex and Marissa. They have been such steady contributors in our lineup all four years. Not only are they great tennis players, but they are also wonderful people. They love Jesus, they love their teammates, they put team first before themselves, and they serve our team so well. They really embody what IWU Athletics is all about out of Philippians 2:1-11! Marissa will graduate with the second most singles wins in IWU history and Alex will graduate first in all-time doubles wins. We are going to miss these two incredible ladies!”
