Box Score UPLAND, Ind. – An 11-0 run by Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball fueled a 13-point comeback, bringing IWU within two of Taylor University with 60-seconds to play. After a missed Kendall Bradbury layup, Jenee Goodwin beat the buzzer, tying the contest at 55 apiece. TU would get one last chance in regulation, but tough Wildcat defense forced a 25-footer, sending the game into overtime.
TU would take a four-point advantage in overtime, after a Becca Buchs and one. Teams would exchange technical foul shots with TU making both and IWU making just one. Taylor would ride the four-point advantage for the remaining two minutes, downing Indiana Wesleyan 66-61 in overtime.
EARLY LEAD
- TU built a 13-point lead in the first quarter making 4-of-6 from three while shooting 61% from the field. IWU struggled to find the bottom of the net shooting 5-of-15 for a staggering 33%. IWU would draw closer bringing the TU lead to just ten, despite ending the first half shooting 10-of-26 for 37%. TU cooled off in the second quarter, making just three shots on 19 attempts, bringing their first-half shooting percentage to 37.
