Box Score 2 MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball collected their fourth double-digit victory of the season Friday, downing the Red Wolves of IU East, 88-57. The Wildcats used their size and strength shooting 27 more free throws while grabbing 25 more rebounds.
Dayton Groninger led the Wildcats with 21 points and nine rebounds. It’s the juniors’ second 20-point game of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Indiana Wesleyan shot 8-of-10 from the line in the first quarter, while IU East shot 1-of-1. The Wildcats finished the contest 31-of-36 from the line, while IU East mustered just nine total free throws.
- Elaina Ededuwa netted seven points and grabbed six rebounds in the first quarter. The senior finished the night with her first double-double of the season, posting 13 points and rebounds.
- IWU grabbed 25 more rebounds than IUE, totaling 46, with 13 coming on the offensive end of the floor.
- Both squads struggled from deep with just eight made three-pointers in the contest. IWU downed five while IUE collected three.
- The Wildcat bench poured in 35 points off the pine, while the Red Wolves mustered 13.
