COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…

  • “We did not play very good doubles today and fell behind 2-1 after doubles play. I think we just came out flat after the grueling victory yesterday. Thankfully, the girls responded and played excellent singles to get the 5-3 victory. Lizzie was also leading at No. 2 singles. It really makes a difference to have Tay back in the lineup at No. 3 singles. She is like a third No. 1 player for us and then she protects the bottom of our lineup. She played outstanding singles today. Olivia took care of her opponent quickly and Marissa go the clinching point that we needed. Another terrific team effort. We are looking forward to competing for the national title tomorrow.”
