COACH SHIGLEY SAYS…
“Our ladies played outstanding tennis tonight to beat a very good and scrappy Marian team. No. 1 and No. 2 doubles played incredible tennis to get us the 2-1 lead after doubles. Then the rain started coming down so we had to move the match indoors and that sort of delay can sometimes favor the team that is behind. But Lizzie, Alex, and Maddie all won in straight sets to finish the match off. The women’s program has now won the league championship 27 years in a row, not an easy task to do. We are looking forward to the challenge of playing a difficult spring season to get us ready for the NAIA National Tournament in May.”
